The end of my time in Solukhumbu ... for now!

Well all good things must come to an end as the saying goes: and my departure day arrived. Emotions were running high and tears were shed: despite having little language in common I had formed a close bond with Bishnu's Mum - called Pipi by the children - she is a fine, kind, strong and loving friend to many of the local people and I found her extremely
big hearted with a great sense of humour too. Her grand-daughter Sankuntala takes after her and has brought up the three children to be equally kind and welcoming: I am going to miss those guys and really hope that I can return one day ... when the road has been finished!

Pipi firsts sets eyes on her new grandchild Ema!

Firm friends before the day is out!

Puspa blows bubbles

Sangam became the Queen of Bubbles once I had demonstrated how
to blow them using shampoo and your own hands.

Many school children regularly call. in - everyone loves their new skill!

Holi festival - coloured water provides hours of fun

Janak spends a lot of time in Pipi's house and was very
proud of his House of Cards

At least we could drive under the caterpillar monster's arm on the return journey
