Being a tourist in Singapore

Lots to see and do in this tiny country: thank goodness that the street food is great value because everything else is pretty expensive! Posted some more no-longer-needed-clothes back to the UK (I have the chance to teach in an Independent school in Brunei and the dress code seems to exclude walking trousers and practical tops!) - no sewing from the Post Master this time and the package will take 2 months as opposed to the 5 days from Kathmandu ... and it was twice the price!
Anyway lots of good things: finally got to the top of Marina Bay Sands (the one with a ship like structure balancing on three towers), went to the Chinese and Japanese Gardens and also spent a couple of hours at Jurong Bird Park. The afternoon thunderstorms came and went and the Canon was infuriating at times, but I have now downloaded The Book so hopefully can find out how to do all the things which the Sony did so well!
