Last days in Singapore

On Wednesday I am moving on to Brunei where  I will be employed as a House-sitter by a lady who is visiting the UK for 6 weeks: she has three dogs and found me on Trusted House Sitters web site. I feel excited and a little nervous as the start date approaches, but I recall feeling the same on the days leading up to my Solukumbu visit ...and I loved that ... and this property has electricity, running water , a road leading to the front door and air conditioning!!
So today is a sorting out day, but yesterday was a touristy day: Changi Museum and Chapel, a bumboat ride and an evening stroll in the Gardens by the Bay to watch a music and light show centred on the Supertrees (man made structures metal framed up to 50m in height). A tiring, but very pleasant end to this, my second visit, to Singapore.
Prison murals - no idea why the audio guide played the Welsh national anthem
at this stage of the tour - the artist was from Dorset!

A replica chapel at Changi has been built (by current prisoners) to remember all those who died and
suffered here: terrible place.
Well you can't go on the Singapore River without
drinking a Singapore Sling ... can you?

The Merlion

Marina Bay Sands Hotel - finally got to the top this week

The MRT train system is efficient, clean and easy to use

Looking towards the front of the speeding train,
I realise that it is un-manned - no driver - just computers!

A typically clean and un crowded station
