A very pleasant way to spend four hours and 20 Euros is to
take a boat trip to Murano, Burano and Torcello. Murano makes that beautiful glass, Burano is stunning picturesque and Torcello is peace! Yes I did buy a
very small piece of glass – but not from the expensive showroom at the factory
where the boat stops, from a small shop just down the street. Burano has the
most colourful houses which were painted thus to help the sailors find their
way hoe apparently. It also has a tower which leans enough to satisfy anyone.
